Gábor Winand - vocals

Subjectively

I think I have known him since the beginning of the 80s' but we only worked together the first time on the studio recordings of the 9:30 Collective in 2003. When we needed a male singer for the chorus of Momentary Fame who would be able to build a chorus and could improvise at the same time, he was the only one we thought of.

According to the facts

One of those few jazz musicans in Hungary whose international success is acknowledged even in Hungary. Side-by-side with the finest Hungarian artists he was chosen by Charlie Mariano and Al Jarreau among others, has performed in London, Berlin, Paris, The Hague, Vienna and many more cities in Europe. Lately, he's been playing with the France based guitarist Gabor Gado, with whom he produced his solo albums. Their album called Corners of My Mind won the "Choc de l'année" award of Jazzman, the leading French jazz magazine in 2002, which is given to the most outstanding albums of the year.
