Sandra Grant - vocals, saxophone

Subjectively

I think when Sandra and I did the Brainwash remixes in 1995 (Taking Life For Granted, Dedication), we started to record a new tune (which was An Illusion, and that was when I was asked to write the 9:30 album so we decided to put it on that CD. Sandra then returned to London then soon moved to Antigua with her family and lived there for many years and it was only a few years ago that she returned to England (again). So that was our last project together.

According to the facts

In London her first known band at the end of the 80's was the Reggae Philharmonic Orchestra, then she performed in many well- known bands like e.g. Soul II Soul and The Chimes. Besides her session work she formed her own jazz quartet called Kushite. After recording Brainwash with Endre Huszár in Hungary other session work followed in London, among others Tori Amos' video clip and in different TV productions (Top of the Pops, Terry Wogan, Blue Peter or the Club Class on Channel 5, where she was a resident soloist).
